Dear ShibariCon veterans (and anyone else who is familiar with the BDSM scene in Chicago):

Do you have a favorite kink shop in Chicago? I would enjoy hearing your recommendations for BDSM-toy or fetish-fashion retailers in the Chicago area that you think are worth visiting. Thank you in advance!

    If you are going to Shibaricon, the best place for shopping is at the IML conference which is the same weekend. It has the largest and best selection of vendors I have ever seen at any BDSM event. Even if you're not planning to buy anything, it is still worth the trip just for the people-watching, regardless of your orientation.

    One word of warning, however: there is not much for sale in the category of clothing made for women. Nevertheless , the last time I was there my credit card was almost melted by the time I left.

      Yes, I am attending ShibariCon for the first time this year. IML sounds like the ideal excursion. As a site of one-stop shopping, I will be able to do a lot of damage in my limited amount of free time. Thank you so much for your suggestion!

        ...and if you do go out into the city, know that Chicago is MUCH larger than SF. Make sure you know where you are going, how long it will take you to get there, and how much it will cost.

        I'll be going to IMrL on Saturday.
